Sam Elliott | Born 1944

When cowboys were prolific in films back in the 1960s, it would be impossible to miss Sam Elliot. He debuted as a film actor in 1969 in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. He was the epitome of an American cowboy with his tough build, staggering height, and rugged good looks, coupled with his deep voice and Western drawl.

However, when the release of cowboy films began to decline, Elliott parlayed his success as a film actor into TV. His degree of passion and dedication to the craft allowed him to thrive despite being past his prime. Apart from the said movie, Elliott has roles in numerous other films, such as Hulk and Ghost Rider, among others. He was last seen in the TV series 1883.
