Roger Taylor | Born 1949

Roger Taylor is best known as the drummer of the British rock band Queen, for which his unique sound was recognized early in his career. In a listener poll conducted by Planet Rock in 2005, Taylor was ranked eighth as the greatest drummer in classic rock music history. He contributed songs to the albums of Queen, composing at least one on every album.

Apart from his drum work, he’s also known for his falsetto vocal range. Taylor also plays guitars, keyboards, and bass on his own songs. In the 1980s, he formed a parallel band known as the Cross, apart from his work with Queen. Taylor appeared in the British spoof documentary The Life of Rock with Brian Penn as himself. He probably wouldn’t need credit cards for his success as he may always have cash on hand.
