“Where the Wild Things Are” First Edition: $25,000

While we don’t consider children’s books toys, they are undoubtedly a huge part of our childhood. In our experience, these simple yet creative pieces of literature helped build our imagination and, to a certain degree, helped shaped how we viewed the world as a kid. So, what’s your favorite children’s book?

One unforgettable children’s book is Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are for some. The picture book is a certified classic and was originally released back in 1963. It has been adapted in many different forms of art such as animation, opera, and even full-length film back in 2009. As such, it wouldn’t be a surprise that a first edition copy of this children’s book in mint condition would be valued at over $25,000.
