If you happen to have an original, hand-drawn, oil-cloth version of this game, then you are looking at a return-on-investment of at least $146,500.

One original, hand-drawn, oil-cloth version was sold for $146,500 back in a 2011 Sotheby’s auction. You could say that the fact that the game’s inventor Charles Darrow owned it made it even more valuable. However, you don’t have to feel bad if you don’t have an incredibly rare version of this iconic game. There are vintage versions from the ‘30s that have sold for over $3,000 on eBay.
