Ali MacGraw will always be Jenny in the classic romantic comedy Love Story. The 1970 film received seven Academy Award nominations, including Best Actress. It was one of the highest-grossing flicks of all time, and it provided a quote for the ages. However, while MacGraw’s film career began with a string of popular credits, she acted more sporadically in the following years, and her last on-screen role was in 1997.

Outside of the movie industry, MacGraw lives a quieter life these days, though she recently came out of acting retirement for a special reunion with Love Story co-star Ryan O’Neal. She has followed other interests since quitting acting. MacGraw is an active promoter of animal rights and has worked with organizations that advocate for them.
