John David Washington – Denzel Washington’s Son

John David Washington is an American actor, former professional football player, and producer. He received credit for his athletic skills by playing college football at Morehouse College and signing with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played professionally as a running back for the United Football League’s Sacramento Mountain Lions.

John shifted to an acting career, following in the footsteps of his well-known parents, Denzel and Pauletta Washington. He is lauded for his performance in the HBO comedy series Ballers (2015-2019). His breakthrough came with his role as Ron Stallworth in Spike Lee’s 2018 crime film BlacKkKlansman, which earned him Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. In 2020, John played the leading role in Christopher Nolan’s science fiction action-thriller film Tenet, for which he won the Saturn Award for Best Actor.
