Alex Martin – Whoopi Goldberg’s Daughter

Whoopi Goldberg has been an icon in Hollywood for decades. While she is mostly known nowadays for being one of the co-hosts of the hit morning show The View, she has a well-accomplished career in acting, singing, and comedy. Her greatest career achievement is winning an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony award. Outside of her career, she has been a mother to her only child, Alex Martin.

Martin was born to Goldberg and her then-husband Alvin Martin back in 1973. Like her mother, he pursued a career in acting, which eventually led to her delving into production. Among her notable credits were appearances in Sister Act 2 and Call Me Claus, which also starred her mother. She has three children with her ex-husband Bernard Dean. Through her, Goldberg is both a grandmother and great-grandmother to Martin’s children and their children.
