Richard Chamberlain | Born 1934

Richard Chamberlain became a teen idol following the success of his character in the TV drama series Dr. Kildare. He co-founded the theater group Company of Angels in Los Angeles. At the end of the 1960s, the actor spent time in England. While there, he played in the BBC’s Portrait of a Lady adaptation and repertory theatre. In the following decade, Chamberlain enjoyed success to a great degree, with leading roles in films like Lady Caroline Lamb, The Music Lovers, Three Musketeers, and others.

For his contribution to the industry, he received a Golden Globe Award, a Golden Apple Award, Photoplay Award, and a nomination for a Grammy Award, among others. Chamberlain starred in numerous TV series and films throughout his career, including Nightmare Cinema in2018, which was his last movie project.
