Bolo Yeung | Born 1946

Kung fu movies have been a hit since the 1990s, with filmmakers scrambling to locate the right performers to play specific roles. Bolo Yeung was one of the first actors to appear in Kung fu movies.

Yeung discovered acting, fell in love with it, and went on to meet and befriend some of the industry’s biggest names. His cinematic investments began in 1970 with The Wandering Sportsman. He became good friends with Bruce Lee and starred in the 1973 film Enter the Dragon. He played Bolo, and this is where he got his nickname. He continued to add strings to his bow during the 1970s and 1980s and appeared in several more films. But his biggest box office hit was Bloodsport.
