Mel Brooks is one of the legends in the comedy scene, thanks to his movies such as Blazing Saddles, The Producers, and Young Frankenstein. The King of Parody is still rocking the director’s chair with his wit, charisma, and passion for his craft. After serving in the Army during World War II, Brooks worked in bars until he got a break to write jokes for The Admiral Broadway Review.

Brooks’ directing style may be funny and absurd at the same time, but they have a deeper meaning. Although not all of his works were well-received, like Spaceballs, they are often considered cult classics. He may have retired from filming after Dracula: Dead and Loving It, but he still appears in cameo roles. He deserved all the credit for making our lives more enjoyable with his parodies.
