Brian May | Born 1947

Brian May of Queen is one of the few rock guitarists who has an instantly recognizable playing style. He soon became an icon in the “rock” music genre, credits to his trademark haircut that withstands the picture of a scientist.

At seven, May began playing the guitar and formed his first band in elementary school. He found a winning mix with his passion for music and science. He then sought a Ph.D. in Astrophysics, quitting in the middle to cash in on his famous rock band, Queen. His albums have topped the UK and US music charts with multiple guitar solos, covers, and collaborations with great performers. He returned to college to finish his Ph.D. after 30 years and has continued to perform live worldwide.
