Chaz Bono – Cher’s Son

Chaz Bono is the son of pop legend Cher and musician Sonny Bono. He was born on March 4, 1969, in Los Angeles. He was named after the movie Chastity, which his mother starred in and his father produced.

Although Chaz was born female, he realized at the age of 18 that he preferred women over men and came out as a lesbian to his parents. In 2008, he underwent a sex change transition to become a man. Like his parents, Chaz went on to pursue a career in entertainment as a writer, musician, and performer. He is, perhaps to his credit, best known for his appearances on The Sonny and Cher Show as a child actor.
