Nicole Richie – Lionel Richie’s Daughter

Nicole Richie is the biological daughter of musician Peter Michael Escovedo and Karen Moss. Due to their unfortunate financial circumstances, her biological parents had to give her up to their close friend, Lionel Richie. They trusted that the famous balladeer would be able to provide a better life for Nicole, and Lionel accepted her with open arms. He even wrote the 1986 hit song “Ballerina Girl” for her.

When Nicole was nine years old, Lionel and his wife, Brenda Harvey, legally adopted her. Today, she is a famous socialite in the entertainment industry, rising to fame with her best friend Paris Hilton by starring in the popular reality show, The Simple Life. To her credit, she has been happily married to musician Joel Madden for over a decade and they have two children.
